Last Stop Pizza Shop
About This Spot
Pulling up to Last Stop Pizza Shop, you’re welcomed by the comforting hum of a local favorite quietly thriving on Old 67 Tanyard Branch Road. It’s the kind of place that feels rooted in its community—unpretentious and inviting, where the pace slows down just enough to savor a moment. The small parking lot buzzes softly with car doors opening and closing, a gentle reminder that this is a familiar pit stop for many passing through and a cherished gathering spot for neighbors.
Inside, the atmosphere carries a warm, hometown charm. There’s no rush here—just the steady rhythm of ovens working through a carefully crafted menu and the friendly, genuine exchanges at the counter. It’s evident this isn’t just about grabbing a quick slice but about offering something thoughtfully made, from crusts that range from hand-tossed to inventive cauliflower, to toppings that hint at smoky brisket and pulled pork beyond the usual pepperoni and sausage. Each bite carries a sense of care, reflected in the devotion customers place in their regular orders and the warmth in every hello and thank you from the team.
The experience extends beyond the pizza itself. It’s in the way wings arrive crisp and satisfying, or how a chocolate chip cookie might close out a meal with subtle sweetness. It’s the casual ease of waiting in your car for an order made just for you, the neighborhood voices on the phone as the friendly staff take orders, and the shared smiles exchanged over a freshly baked calzone or the novelty of a crustless pizza bowl.
For locals and travelers alike, Last Stop Pizza Shop serves as a quietly dependable stop where quality and familiarity meet. It’s not about spectacle but about moments—the kind you remember when a place feels like a small piece of home, right off the beaten path.

We were on our way down to Danville and decided to grab some Last Stop Pizza. We ordered it and we were told it would take 45 minutes, Unfortunately we were only 10 minutes away. We decided to pull in and wait in the parking lot. Ordered a medium pizza and the oven roasted wings along with a side salad for the two of us. While the cost is slightly above a chain pizza place the quality and taste is far above and easily offset the expense. I do agree that the sizes are a bit small so just know when ordering to order a size up. We ended up enjoying the meal but grateful we had ordered a few sides so as to be satisfied in portion. If you live close to here it's an excellent option for pizza and worth a small drive. If you are passing through it is very accessible from the main road and a quick in and out also well worth the small detour.

I can’t say enough good things about Last Stop Pizza Shop! The owners are wonderful, the food is top tier and their staff is lovely to deal with. Best home town pizza place and close to the house!

We order from Last Stop often! Always pick it up & come home to eat! We have ordered for a very long time! Their hen pecked pie is our favorite! And of course, the chicken wings!! Great service! Always a friendly voice to take the order. Always our "go to pizza place."

Service and hospitality is impeccable. The flavor of the pizza sauce is in a league of its own. The down side is..1- the sizes are well below average size of a pizza. 2- just a tad over priced..HOWEVER, the convenience, and flavor make up for it. Definitely will be returning!! Phenomenal hometown business!!
